Once upon a time I was an awkward 6th grader that met another 6th grader who loved to wear hair bands and we had funny awkward middle school conversations and middle school drama. If you had told me that ten years later I would be the AUNT of that 6th-grader-who-liked-to-wear-headbands’ children I would have just laughed in disbelief and then asked you who those brother’s were that we would marry so that we could just save ourselves some drama.
If you know me, you probably know this whole story already because it is one of my FAVORITES, but I cannot get over the fact that the story is STILL HAPPENING! The sweetness just keeps growing as my lifetime best friend is now going to have a BABY!! That is why, on Saturday, Andrew and I packed our house with 40 people and decorated our home with EVERYTHING bee’s to find out :: What Will Baby Wong Bee?? I’ll let you scroll through to see what gender Baby Wong is!!!
But first, I have to give credit to where credit is due!! This event was made special by some incredible talent!! My husband, for starters, built the honeycomb shelves that you’ll see created our backdrop and can I just say: he is a HEARTTHROB and incredibly talented!! The PERFECT cake you’ll see was made by local cake baker, Rebecca Ibarra!! Not only was it absolutely precious in every way, it tasted AMAZING! An incredible local hand-letterer, @thechildatheartblog is a good friend of Rebekah’s and made her the gorgeous, water-colored sign that says “he or she what will it be”. And last but not least, Calhoun Flower Farms created the florals! I am literally obsessed with EVERYTHING they make and it was absolute magic to watch Susannah create the stunning flower arrangements that brought the entire event to life! Enjoy!
