Usually when I think of sunrise, I hold the romantic image of a sunrise coming up behind the mountain and think “well wouldn’t that be nice” and then set my alarm for much later than sunrise. Because it sounds great and all, but no thanks. Late nights are my happy place and I value sleep too much to give that up. BUT! Doing this sunrise session last fall was ALL I needed to be convinced that I would ALWAYS be willing to get up in the dark hours of the morning and wander out. Seriously, just look through these and you will see what I am saying.

Our little family of three got all bundled up, little Rori bundled up in footsies and lots of blankets in her stroller, and met these two out by the [empty] river. They were absolute troopers for getting up, looking FABULOUS, and driving from another city for this session!! They even made it look like it wasn’t cold- which it was! Shortly after this session, they moved and we miss them so much, but are so grateful that we had the opportunity to capture their precious relationship in the fitting golden light of the sunrise.

Anyone else adventurous enough for a sunrise session?!
