The little cry, that though tiny, pierces right to your very soul. The middle of the night, half awake eyes, barely awake heart. The small, warm body begins to warm you from the outside in. Your eyes open a little more because you have to see, you have to let their vulnerability and sweetness awaken your heart. You feel cozier, more complete by their existence. They have shown you a part of life you did not even realize was there before. It is a secret world, there, only you and them. Cozy, still. And sometimes you are too sleepy to stay awake for it, but those times when you just let it all come, it is better than you could have ever imagined and every soul piercing cry and every late night and long night and no night is entirely worth it all.
This is motherhood, fatherhood. Parenthood.
Wanna see these two parents in all of their full nights sleep and baby-waiting glory? Its all right here and one of my favorite sessions to date.
