My daughter turned TWO in January and my life has been a constant cycle of repeating her words to affirm to her that I know what she is saying [otherwise she will say them over and over and over]. Along with that, she is learning at least one new word a day and it is absolutely incredible to watch her brain make connections. She is learning the names of so many people in her life and saying “hello” and “goodbye” every time someone comes in and out of the room. Her legs are longer, her running faster, and her arms capable of increasingly approving coordination. She learns these new facial expressions and expresses herself with them better and better with each passing day. My favorite is this surprised face she makes and says “ohhh!!” with it, often in response to the most simple things.
ANYWAYS, I could talk about her all day long. MY POINT IS that watching her grow up has made me a die hard, firm believer in what I do more than I have ever been before. Moments have EVEN MORE value to me now and I don’t want to miss a single one. And I want to remember some of my favorite seasons for the rest of my life!!! I’m really not just saying this, I firmly believe that a photo shoot is one of the best investments you could make!!! We all drop money on a meal out, daily coffee and donuts, or this “thing” that collects dust in our home, but these things only last a moment and are gone. A photo shoot may only last a moment, but you will capture a season of your family’s life that you can keep FOREVER!! What could be a better investment than that??
That’s why I had to blog this fantastic half session from last fall!! It was a blast!!! And the Salgado family now has this one-of-a-kind season of their lives to look back on whenever they want to, for forever!!! Lauri can show off how cute Nico was at age 4, when he brings a girl home for the first time. Nick can remind his daughter every day how beautiful she is and SHOW her how timeless her beauty is. I have seen up close how much this family loves each other and if you just scroll through, I know you will see it too.
